Getting Started
The basics of 5Labs and how to begin.
5Labs is an Autonomous Launch Assurance platform. We use real browser automation and AI agents to test your web application the way a real user would — clicking buttons, filling forms, making purchases, and verifying that everything works correctly before you go live.
Traditional testing checks individual code functions. 5Labs tests the full user experience end-to-end in a real browser — authentication flows, payment processing, email delivery, webhook reliability, compliance, and more. We find the problems your users would find, before they find them.
Just a staging URL for your application. Sign up, add your project with the URL, and click "Run Test." No code changes, no SDK installation, and no CI/CD integration required. Your first test can be running within 2 minutes of signing up.
Any web application accessible via a URL — SaaS platforms, e-commerce stores, marketplaces, membership sites, booking systems, and more. If it runs in a browser, we can test it.
No. 5Labs tests your application from the outside, just like a real user. We never need access to your codebase, repository, or infrastructure. All we need is a URL.
Testing & Results
What happens during a test and how to read results.
5Labs deploys AI-powered agents that autonomously navigate your application across 12 modules: Discovery, Authentication, Profile Creation, Payments, Revenue Analysis, Emails & Webhooks, Mobile Testing, Compliance, Regression, Link Integrity, Security Posture, and LRI Scoring. Each agent tests your app the way real users would — signing up, making purchases, triggering webhooks, and checking every flow for issues.
A full scan across all 12 modules typically takes 6–8 minutes. A quick scan (authentication and profiles only) takes about 2–3 minutes. You can watch progress live on your dashboard as each module completes.
The LRI is a percentage score (0–100%) that measures how ready your application is for launch. It is calculated across five dimensions: Technical Stability, Revenue Integrity, Communications, Security & Compliance, and User Experience. A score of 90% or above means your app is ready to launch.
Yes. You can cancel a running test at any time from the results page. If you cancel before the run reaches 30% progress, your credit is fully refunded. If the run has progressed beyond 30%, the credit is not returned.
We detect broken authentication flows, failed payment processing, missing or delayed emails, webhook delivery failures, revenue leakage (e.g., coupons that stack incorrectly), compliance gaps (missing privacy policy, no cookie consent), accessibility issues, broken forms, dead links, and more.
Yes. Every issue found includes a severity rating and an AI-powered "Get fix" button that generates a specific, actionable fix recommendation tailored to your tech stack.
Pricing & Credits
How billing, credits, and plans work.
The free trial gives you 30 days, 1 project, and 3 test runs — no credit card required. This is enough to run your first tests and see exactly what 5Labs finds. If you cancel a run before it reaches 30% progress, your run slot is fully restored.
Each completed test run costs one credit. If a run fails due to a system error, the credit is automatically refunded. If you cancel a run before it reaches 30% progress, the credit is also refunded. Cancellations after 30% progress are not refunded.
We offer Founder ($399/mo, 3 projects, 20 runs), Growth ($599/mo, 10 projects, unlimited runs), and Agency ($1,999/mo, 50 projects, unlimited runs). Enterprise plans with custom pricing are also available. All paid plans include priority queue, full module access, and downloadable reports.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing & Credits page in your dashboard. If you cancel, your subscription remains fully active until the end of your current billing cycle — you won’t lose access mid-month. However, there are no refunds for any remaining time on your billing period. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
When your subscription ends at the close of your billing cycle, your account moves to a read-only state. You can still log in and view your existing test results, findings, and certifications, but you won’t be able to start new runs. If you resubscribe later, all of your historical data will still be there.
Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. However, bonus credits (from promotions or purchases) never expire and are used only after your monthly credits are consumed.
Security & Privacy
How we handle your data and protect your application.
5Labs operates on a zero-copy principle — we never copy, store, or retain your application data, source code, or user information. Our agents interact with your application in real-time and only retain test results and metadata, not your underlying data.
We strongly recommend testing against a staging environment. While 5Labs can test any accessible URL, running automated agents against a production environment could trigger real transactions, create test accounts, or affect real user data. Always use a staging URL with test/sandbox payment credentials.
We store your account information, project URLs, and test results (LRI scores, detected issues, module scores). We do not store passwords used during testing, payment card numbers, or any personally identifiable information from your application's users.
Certification
About the 5Labs Launch Certified™ badge.
It's a verifiable badge that proves your application has passed all critical launch criteria — LRI score of 90% or higher, no critical issues, no revenue leakage, working payment notifications, legal requirements met, and functional login/signup flows. You can embed the badge on your website with a link to a public verification page.
Run a test and meet all six certification criteria. Once all criteria show a green checkmark on the My Certification page, you can claim your badge. The certification page shows exactly what's required and your current status for each criterion.
Certification is tied to a specific test run. We recommend re-testing before major releases or at least monthly to keep your certification current and meaningful.
Support
Getting help when you need it.
Every page has an AI-powered support bot (the amber button in the bottom-right corner) that can answer most questions instantly, 24/7. For anything the bot can't handle, use the contact form on the Contact page — submissions are reviewed and answered by email as soon as possible.
